What’s IM-BC?
The Internet Marketing Bootcamp 2010 is a collaboration project among three online friends namely: Anton Diaz of www.OurAwesomePlanet.com, Larry Gamboa of www.ThinkRichPinoy.com and Randy Manaloto of www.MyUSMailbox.com. We share a common passion of paying it forward and mentoring the next generation of Filipino Internet Entrepreneurs!
Background:
Internet Marketing will boom in 2011 in the Philippines. Pinoys are starting to realize that an Internet Business is very attractive because of the passive income potential, the low capital investment – high ROI business, and the ability to have time and mobility freedom. However, there is a risk that we inherit the hype-up type of Internet Marketing in the US and pinoys might get disillusioned early on.
Objectives:
To launch the first Internet Marketing Conference of the Philippines (by the good guys)
In a way that,
- It educates pinoys on the Internet Marketing foundation versus a pitch-fest seminar where they speakers would have a selling mindset.
- It features only Internet Marketing practitioners who are running their own successful Internet Marketing business.
- It would be divided into two parts – first day would focus on the Internet Mavens who would teach on the different Internet Business Models, second day would focus onHow do exactly do Internet Marketing.
- It would be affordable to the target market focused on professionals and start-up entrepreneurs.
- After the conference, we need to provide a support structure or continuity program at least for 90 days to ensure the success of the participants.
Such that we will be able to train the next generation of Internet Marketing entrepreneurs who will become the next Internet Millionaires in the Philippines!

A College undergraduate, he started doing business online from his own bedroom in 2006 and in less than a year, he proved that anyone can be a self-made Internet millionaire using the power of the Internet as featured on the front page of the Philippine Daily Inquirer. In 2008, he bested thousands of Internet marketing professionals from across the globe being the first and only Filipino winning the top place in the “Biggest Internet Marketing Challenge” aside from always being in the top place in affiliate marketing competitions making him one of the very few power affiliates in the world. He is awarded the Certificate as a Certified eMarketing Consultant (CeMC) by the Internet Marketing Standards Board which he considers as his College diploma he earned not from school but from actual business experience.
Larry Gamboa, “Real Estate Membership Site”
Larry Gamboa is a Doctor of Business Administration from the University of Michigan, who found learning accounting and the internet, dull and difficult. The fact that he was such a poor student of the subject (even as an undergraduate in De La Salle College and even when he won a Fulbright Grant to study in the United States) caused no noticeable damage until he went into business for himself.
Larry joint ventured with Washington Sycip of SGV and William C. Byham of Development Dimensions to launch SGV-DDI. After 10 years of maaging this superb Training and Consulting Company, Larry sold his shares to SGV, and says, “surprisingly I made a lot of money.” Larry wonders, “if I were financially literate, could I have made more money or should I have sold my shares at all?”
Larry believes there must be thousands of guys like him who need to get a positive working understanding of accounting, finance, and the internet, but who are not likely to do so from a standard textbook classroom approach.
He has put together three business so far (managing two) and Larry is still aiming to take one public, possibly with the help of the internet. Larry says “I have made and lost just about enough money to have the requisite humility and pride to write “Think Rich, Pinoy!”
Although he is a bookworm, “Think Rich, Pinoy!” is not an academic book. It is written for folks in the thick of battle (struggling to get out of the rat race), for people who are interested or involved in business, and for those who need to understand how accounting and the internet can benefit them — corporately, spiritually, personally.
